Holy Fever!

I have been a sick little girl that last few days. My fever started on Sunday afternoon and hasn't gone away. I woke up at 2:30am on Tuesday morning and was running 105.5 temp. Mom and Dad called the nurse hotline and they suggested we go to the ER, so off we went. The Doc checked me over and couldn't come up with anything. I had 104 at 1am this morning so Mommy took me to the Dr.. I now have an ear infection in my left ear. They checked for a UTI, but everything was ok. We also had some blood drawn and we are waiting to hear the results of that. Dr. Shidler thinks that is probably just a nasty virus and the virus caused me to get the ear infection. I have been on Tylenol and Motrin for 3 days trying to keep my fever in check. I have been sleeping a lot trying to fight this off. I hope that I start to feel better soon!

Christmas Vacation

G & G Formanack finally were able to get themselves dug out at their house and brought Christmas to Omaha because of the blizzard. So we had another Christmas today! I got some more really neat toys and a rocking chair. I sure made a good haul this year! Mommy & Daddy say that I'm spoiled, but I just think I am Loved! :)

Miss Audrey is taking a week of vacation, so I get to spend the next few days at Grammie Lou & Papa's house. Then this weekend I will go see G&G Formanack for a couple of days. I'm really excited to spend time with them!

Snow Angel

Since we were stuck inside all day today with the snow, Daddy took me outside for a little bit to play in the snow. I really wasn't sure about it. I can't wait to go sledding in my new sled though! We were practicing with it in the basement today and it is lots of fun!

Almost Time....

I'm getting ready for Christmas. Mom, Grammie and Aunt Jen make holiday treats today. They smelled delicious. Mommy said maybe next year I can have some of them. I have been a really good girl this year, so I sure hope Santa remembers me!

Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My!

Tonight we went to Uncle Tom & Aunt Gail's house for our first Christmas dinner. I got to see and sit on the bear that my Great Grandpa shot years ago. I wasn't afraid of him at all. Mommy said she got to sit on the bear when she was little too!

Holiday Lights

Tonight mom and dad took me to Village Pointe to see some elves sing and then a parade and tree lighting. I had fun running around with all of the other kids.

Grandpa's

We celebrated Great Grandpa's 80th birthday and Thanksgiving yesterday in Cook. As you can see I wasn't too happy about G. Grandpa holding me. This is also my new little cousin Riley.

After a year of not letting Grandpa Formanack hold me, I finally did it! I let Grandpa hold me all weekend! I think it really made his day!

Just Like New

Mom and Dad took me to see Dr. Sheehan today to get my cast off. I cried really loud when the Dr. was cutting my cast off. I think I was scared of the really load noise. Then we had to go get some more xrays to make sure my wrist healed right. It sure did and the Dr. said I am just like new! I was so excited to get to take a real bath tonight!

This is my last weekend with my cast and I am so excited. I go to the Dr. on Monday to get the cast removed. I can't wait!

Update

I had my 1 year check-up yesterday and the Doc says I am in great health! I weigh 18lbs 11oz (with my cast on) and am 28 1/4" tall. I had to get 4 shots and I was not happy about that, but once it was over I was ok. I am finally starting to get used to my cast. It was hard for me to sleep at night because I couldn't lay how I wanted to, but I think I have it figured out now. Only a little over 2 weeks left!

Cast

Well, I decided that since I am 1 now I was old enough to climb out of my crib. I tried and I fell and broke my wrist. We had to go to the Orthopedic Dr. today and I had to get a long arm cast. I don't really like it very much, but I have to wear it for 3 weeks.

My Birthday Party

I had my birthday party today and all of my family came! I got so many neat toys; I can't wait to play with them all. I even had a really neat ladybug cake to eat. I didn't get too messy though. Thank you to everyone for celebrating my 1st birthday with me!

I'm One!

Today is my first birthday! Yay! I got to hang out with mommy all day today. We couldn't do very much because it was raining all day. Daddy came home to have lunch with us. I got to have some cake after dinner and I sure was messy. Grammie Lou & Papa B came over and brought me some presents. I did a pretty good job of unwrapping them. I'm so excited to play with my new toys. I can't wait for my party on Sunday!

Today it was so beautiful out that mom and dad took me to the pumpkin patch. I guess everyone else had the same idea! I had fun playing with the pumpkins, rolling around in the hay and looking at all of the animals.
