Update

I had my 1 year check-up yesterday and the Doc says I am in great health! I weigh 18lbs 11oz (with my cast on) and am 28 1/4" tall. I had to get 4 shots and I was not happy about that, but once it was over I was ok. I am finally starting to get used to my cast. It was hard for me to sleep at night because I couldn't lay how I wanted to, but I think I have it figured out now. Only a little over 2 weeks left!

Cast

Well, I decided that since I am 1 now I was old enough to climb out of my crib. I tried and I fell and broke my wrist. We had to go to the Orthopedic Dr. today and I had to get a long arm cast. I don't really like it very much, but I have to wear it for 3 weeks.

My Birthday Party

I had my birthday party today and all of my family came! I got so many neat toys; I can't wait to play with them all. I even had a really neat ladybug cake to eat. I didn't get too messy though. Thank you to everyone for celebrating my 1st birthday with me!

I'm One!

Today is my first birthday! Yay! I got to hang out with mommy all day today. We couldn't do very much because it was raining all day. Daddy came home to have lunch with us. I got to have some cake after dinner and I sure was messy. Grammie Lou & Papa B came over and brought me some presents. I did a pretty good job of unwrapping them. I'm so excited to play with my new toys. I can't wait for my party on Sunday!

Vala's

Today it was so beautiful out that mom and dad took me to the pumpkin patch. I guess everyone else had the same idea! I had fun playing with the pumpkins, rolling around in the hay and looking at all of the animals.

Weekend at Grandma's

I spent the weekend with Grammie Lou & Papa B. Mommy and Daddy went to KC for the Chiefs game. Grammie took me to church on Sunday and I played with all of the kids in the nursery. It was fun. Grammie said I was such an angel...mommy was so glad to hear that!

Mmmm.....Good!

Daddy shared some of his icecream with me tonight. It sure was good! I LOVE it!

Brady's Brigade

This morning we went to the Buddy Walk at UNO. We were part of my cousin Brady's team - Brady's Brigade. Everyone wore a camoflauge bandana and Grammie Lou made me a purple camo outfit to wear. It sure kept me warm.

We walked a mile around the track, but I decided to take a nap for the whole thing.

I sure was refreshed when it was over.

Aunt Jen raised over $2500 for the National Down Syndrome Society. Way to go! :)
